On 9 August, 2024, the Centre for Law as Protection at Deakin Law School, Melbourne, Australia, celebrate its opening by hosting a full day launch of academic activities and art. The Centre is co-directed by Professors Shiri Krebs and Patrick Emerton.

During July-August, 2024, I have the privilege of acting as Visiting Professor to the Centre, and at its launch on 9 August I give its inaugural keynote lecture on the theme of ‘AI, Law and Society: What Cold War Data Law and History Can Teach Us Today’.
